Bowers Museum

Bower’s Museum Visit My overall experience of the Bower’s Museum visit was knowledgeable and interesting. The special exhibitions were the Mummy exhibit and the Gem exhibit. The Mummy exhibit was very interesting. There were a lot of artifacts relating back to the early beginnings in ancient Egypt. The Gem exhibit was fascinating. It was gems that carried 42,222 carats! I would have to say my favorite part of the museum was the Arts of Ancient China. The Chinese pottery and drawings were so neat and organized. It showed how much they cared about their work and their civilization. The lay out on the museum was very orderly and pleasing to the eye. I think the exhibit both taught and entertained because they had artifacts and such for you to walk around and look at but it also had videos to entertain you and give you more knowledge of what you were looking at. I believe there was no inherent bias in any presentation. The front of the museum was very clean, welcoming and modern. I believe for the outside and entrance of a museum or attraction has a lot to do with what the visitor is going to think about the attraction. I thought the courtyard; Lee Court and Sculpture Garden were very well maintained and beautifully laid out. The exhibits were organized and also clean, along with the rest of the museum. Overall, the entire museum was squeaky clean, from the entrance way, all the way to the bathrooms. My overall experience at the Bower’s Museum was wonderful. The personnel, both paid as well as volunteer, were very helpful and well informed. Any questions I had they answered clear and concise. If I were a CEO for the Bower’s Museum, the only thing I would change is the climate in throughout the Museum. Some rooms were very chilly while others were very warm. Other than that I would not change a thing. I enjoyed the museum and may go back sometime in the near future.
