Career Development Plan HRM 531 November 10, 2008 Career Development Plan New Positions The fourth position developed is an assistant store manager. This job will entail driving superior levels of customer service throughout the store. He will also be responsible for hiring, training, supporting and developing associated managers in each department and store employees. They shall also support the company in all areas of store operations including merchandising plans and meeting or exceeding financial targets. Qualified applicants must possess a minimum two years grocery experience along with good interpersonal skills. Must also be a good problem solver and negotiator. Computer skills needed to track inventor and make orders. The fifth job is a new Produce Buyer. In order to keep the freshest and most unique produce, an experience buyer is needed. The Produce Buyer will be responsible for purchasing fresh fruits, vegetables and other associated products in order to help Kudler Fine Foods achieve its sales and operational goals. In order to meet sales and operational goals this position will need to work in an efficient and timely manner; by managing inventory levels and reducing spoilage. Qualified candidates must have a minimum five years produce experience at management level. Prior sales and buying experience is necessary. Training Program Now that the new positions have been determined the next phase in the proposal is the training program that will enhance the skills and qualifications of the new team of employees.
