Cheating
Most believe that all forms of cheating are wrong. We're all taught that from the time we're little children. However, we usually think of cheating as something involving tangible goods. Cheating is believed to be unethical as well as immoral. Rarely do consider it cheating when we represent the words or ideas of another person as our own. And yet this is exactly what plagiarism is: the theft of thoughts. In this way, society has made a “culture of compromise,” condemning some forms of dishonesty and condoning others. The reason is that many times, society places more value on money than on respecting the law.
Cheating is wrong, but sometimes everyone can agree with a form of cheating. For example: if one works in a nail salon, sometime the customers just come at one time and then it’s very busy, the worker might cheat on the time, and they will do faster than normal, just to get it done early by the time. Sometimes they can cut out a step that is not important. Although the people are cheating in work, when they finish it looks the same like normal, still pretty, nothing missing, and the customer won’t know the different. This is the best way to solve the problem, they just only do this when they are very busy, and the customers keep coming. Thought this form of cheating is wrong, most people would not condemn it, because they can understand why everyone gets busy.
However, cheating in school is many times not condemned. I remember that when I was still a little girl, I usually asked my sister to do my homework. She explain it to me, but I probably didn’t hear her, because I’m lazy and don’t want to do it. I just sat there and waited until she finished my homework. Sometimes, if I missed my test in school, I usually asked my friend about the test that she already took, so she might remember some question in the test then tell me. Sometime I forgot to do my assignment from the last day...
