1. What is Hardware and what are the different categories of hardware?
Hardware are the physical components of the computer. They are divided into two categories:
 
Internal Hardware: the hardware which we see inside the CPU (Central Processing Unit) are called as internal hardware. For example: Motherboard, Processor, Heat Sync, RAM, PCI Slots (PCI – Peripheral Component Interface), CMOS battery (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor), SMPS (Switch Mode Power Supply), etc…
 
External Hardware: External Hardware are divided into 2 categories:
 
Input devices and output devices.
 
Input devices: Any device which helps the user to feed data into the system is called as input device. Example: Keyboard, Mouse, Scanner, Joystick, etc..
 
Output devices: Any device which presents the data to the user is called as output device. Example: Monitor, Printer, Speaker, Projector, etc…
 
2. What is software? What are the different categories of Software?
Software are instructions that cause the hardware to do work. Software are divided in two categories:
 
Operating system: an operating system is an interface between the hardware and the user. It is the base software which controls the hardware
 
Applications: Application software are software designed for a specific purpose. They can do only that particular job
 
3. How to find IP address?

4. What are the types of file systems in Windows XP?
FAT (File Allocation Table) and NTFS (New Technology File System)
 
5. How to uninstall software from the computer?
