Good Morning,everyone!Ladies and gentlemen,teachers and students.First of all,I would like to introduce myself!My name is Thant Tun Su Aung.I am an eighth grader who is studying in No(2),Basic Education High School,Bahan.And today,I am here to talk about the drugs and the topic I am going to talk about is “Active Youth Development to Prevent Drug Buse”.So,let’s get start to the point!
Firstly,I have to tell the meaning of Active Youth Development since I am going to talk about it. Active Youth Development is about developing more active young people who have confidence,leadership and self-management skills for the bright future of the country.The more active young people in a country,the brighter the future of the country is!So,youths are the blood of the country.But there are a few enemies who are decreasing the numbers of the active youth such as computer games.facebook and televisions.Among those enemies,the biggest and greatest enemies are DRUGS!
Nowadays,many youths are involved in alcohol and drug abuse in the neighborhood, school, or in the playground.Parents are giving their children more freedom than compared to 10 years ago. Children are also maturing at a faster rate than in the past which makes them wanting to do things that are not normal for their age. Much of this has to do with the increase in technology. The youth are learning and being introduced to a lot of things such as drugs and alcohol through the internet, television, and radio. Drug and alcohol abuse is a serious problem among many young people.
So,what are drugs?drugs are substances that effects your body.They interferes with brain’s neurotransmitters.But some drugs are harmful only when people misuse them.For example,morphine are use as anesthetic in operations.They can be used only in hospitals but people used them in streets without doctor’s prescription.So,this is the...
