I am Legend
All stories, books, and movies have different endings. Some are happy, romantic, or a tragedy. In I am Legend directed by Francis Lawrence a pandemic happens that involves vampires. This movie is about his everyday life dealing with these creatures. Will smith who is known as Robert Neville believes he is that last healthy human alive. In I Am Legend the ending is obviously very tragic and sad.
Robert Neville (Will Smith) has many different strengths and weaknesses. He is a very highly civilized person in the city of New York City. He was originally a lieutenant in the armed forces before this pandemic happened. He is a very intelligent person who has been documenting everything he does every day. He is almost like a scientist trying to figure out a cure for these vampires. He is very smart when it comes to using all the left over resources and possibly cures the symptoms these people have. Another important strength Robert has is that he is immune to these infected humans “The author details Neville's daily life in Los Angeles, as he attempts to comprehend, research, and possibly cure the disease that killed mankind, and to which he is immune.” Robert is also very close to nature. He knows how to use every kind of resource he can weather its hunting down deer or picking corn into the fields. He’s a very smart man who is doing all of this alone with a little help of his dog, who he later on has to kill because he was bitten by the vampires. Robert does have many strengths but he also has many weaknesses. He is the last person left in New York City, and has to use all left over resources. He also has to deal with the vampires trying to kill him. He can only go outside during the daylight because the vampires can’t handle the sunlight.
In this movie I am Legend it begins with will smith hunting for his food. Him and his dog Sam are the only two non infected left. He spends every day repairing his house, collecting resources...
