May 8 2006: Elizabeth Fairchild, CEO wrote a memo to the Executive Team (ET). The purpose of the memo was to let the ET know that she met with employees throughout Best Snakes to review various indicators, which illustrate organizational success. However, E. Fairchild is concerned about Best Snacks' lack of innovation.
She called a meeting with the ET to discuss her findings and strategize for future actions and changes. She strongly encouraged ET members to come to the meeting with ideas in how to improve Best Snacks. E. Fairchild realizes that changes must be makde at Best Snack to continue.
"At the organizational level, managers can promote organizational learning through the way they create an organization's structure and culture" (Jones, 2004).

"A learning organization is an organization that purposefully designs and constructs its structure, culture, and strategy so as to enhance and maximize the potential for organizational learning (explorative and exploitative) to take place" (Jones, 2004).
Organizational learning has been a crucial part of my current and previous positions. I use to create web pages; I was always learning new software and languages. Learning is important part of our society so that we stay completive.

I had experience as an "individual learner" at a previous position as Director of Communication. In order to be successful, I had to teach myself what entails to be an eMarketer. Now, I teach it on a community college level.
