There are many organizations that can have an impact on one’s career success by developing professional knowledge and abilities. The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) is an association of health information management (HIM) professionals, and they are dedicated to the effective management of personal health information required to deliver quality healthcare to the public. They are also dedicated to improving the quality of medical records and advancing the HIM profession electronic and global environment through leadership in advocacy, education, certification, and lifelong learning.
The American Health Information Management Association can contribute toward increasing my professional knowledge and abilities by instilling the values and ethics needy to provide accurate patient care. AHIMA also have certification requirements that will allow me to keep my credentials up to date. The American Health Information Management Association also offers a unique training and development academy, which helps enhance employee performance and development.
The American Health Information Management Association offers a wide range of opportunities to its employees and its members that it can contribute to anyone’s career success. I believe that with the opportunities the American Health Information Management Association offer will give me the professional knowledge and abilities need to perform my job to the best of my abilities by keeping my informed and accredited.
