Sony’s Ps4 has become a household name since its release, due to it being the newest version that PlayStation has to offer. The gaming system has something for everyone of all ages. That’s why their target market is basically everyone but teens and young adults are usually the ones to introduce it to households (McDougall & Chantrey, 2004). They offer a wide variety of games for the young and aging population. Ps4 offers dance games, workout games, educational games, strategy games, sports games, and more. It allows users to use internet connections to play against others all across the world. This feature allows users who don’t have anyone else to play against the ability to play with opponents no matter where they are. All of these games and features makes the Sony Ps4 marketable to all. This is not just a gaming system it allows users to actually get something out of the games such as weight loss and figuring out problems to get a better understanding of them. It’s not your everyday Pac Man games or games used for just entertainment.
The ability to interact with the games has made sells go up, as well. They made it so that the controllers can actually sense what direction you’re moving in and how fast you’re moving. This makes it even more exciting for all audiences. Sony Ps4 attracts all ages because of their strategy to appeal to all audiences. Since most adults are more responsible with money than children Sony makes sure to appeal to their audience in order to give their parents that extra push to go out and purchase it. In other words, Sony’s marketing campaigns are no different from tons of other brand name products marketing campaigns because they know that if they get the children to ask their parents to buy something over and over again they usually end up purchasing it.
