Teens Talking
The British teens have tried a lot of things, more than usual 14-16 year olds have. Smoking cannabis, drinking alcohol, going clubbing. But they aren’t that mature, when considering, this one girl stating that she couldn’t cook dinner, and she thought that she just could go and buy frozen meals, all the time, and also considering that more that 5% of teens leave school with out any qualifications, and that’s about 300.000. It proves that they are mature in the social category but not in the category where you are able to stand on your own two feet.
Its easy to compare teens all over the world with each other, we all going through the same things, like love and sex and bad self esteem and also going through the awkward stages of our body changing, with pimples, and not being big enough to fill our bodies out. But not in all country teens’ drink, not like in Denmark and Britain. Teens in Denmark get drunk almost every weekend, and often get in to the hospital because of over drinking, and just like the British teens we are also a lot online on either the computer or our cell phone. We often use Facebook as a way to get in touch with our friends, instead of calling them or visiting them. We also smoke a lot, even though you have to be 18 to buy cigarettes its not hard to get, because when you start drinking you meet people who are 18 so they can buy for you. But it’s actually not that hard because teens now a day look so old of their age that a 16-year-old girl often could go for an 18 year old. I can se a lot of similarity when it comes to relationships. The text says that many girls have under-age sex, and it’s exactly the same here in Denmark. When you are under the age of consent, which is 15 in Denmark, you think its cool to have sex before you turn 15. So many young teens in the age from 12-14 have sex for the first time. I remember that 2 of my friends betted if they could have sex before they turned 15 but none of them did it.
