Last year, 2008, Google had extended its business in the information technology industry by launching new web browser named ‘Chrome.’ Comparing Compared to the most commonly used web browsers, such as Internet Explorer andor Fire Fox , there are several bright sides that may attracts users of the old user got used to IE or and FF in technical and usability aspects., h However, there are still several things that have to be improved with Chrome. For this research paper, I will evaluate compare Chrome’s and features compared to Internet Explorer features fromin both technical and usability perspectives.
Chrome came up with surprisingly faster speed than any other existing web browser. The greatest issue came out with Chrome was the speed, and that attracts many users to use it. Chrome is built based on WebKit which is an open source application framework for building web browser. A famous web browser, named Safari, is also based on WebKit. However more important key for the speed of Chrome is on a web application. A wWeb application is an application that is accessible and executable through web browsers. We might not know that there are tons of applications running on the web site like e-mail and online shopping site. Google has implemented its own program for Chrome which is ‘V8 project for running programs written in JavaScript,’ so that those applications running on the web browsers runs smoothly and takes less resources to optimize for efficient use. JavaScript is a fundamental programming language that is used for many web applications. Therefore, web application engine makes the different of the speed compared to other web browsers.
Not only the Chrome has faster speed for web browsing by its own V8 JavaScript engine, its new engine makes the user easier to work on the web browser for multi tasking jobs.
