“I will obtain my degree and start my own business in 4years”

My academic goal is to acquire my Bachelor of science degree in Marketing Management from Argosy University and then proceed to getting my masters in Business within the next 2 1/2years. My source of motivation is both intrinsic and extrinsic; intrinsic because I took a 3year hiatus from school because of my financial state but because of my great self motivation and steely determination to complete what I started and being able to receive federal aid, hence my return to school. Extrinsically, my motivation is simply the fact that obtaining my degree can vastly improve my employment opportunity which invariably will also improve my financial well-being. Another extrinsic motivation is the new inspiration the birth of my son has given me; trying to provide the best life I can possibly provide for him and my family to which attaining my goal of a degree can help make that a reality. My attitude toward the learning process will greatly enhance the achievement of my goal because I possess a great predisposition towards learning in general. I wont need to make any adjustment at all because I naturally gravitate towards everything that will improve me knowledge-wise.
Within a year and half after I have completed my education, my career goal is to start my very own import and export business. I am originally from Africa, Nigeria to be exact; upon graduation, I will embark on fact-finding trip back home to ascertain what products will be the focal point of my business. I intend to have my father run the business from back in Nigeria, and I will organize it from here. My motivation is also both intrinsic and extrinsic, intrinsically because of my intense desire to be successful and knowing fully well that with hardwork, my natural business acumen and the knowledge I acquire through my education it can be achieved....
