I had participated in the group discussion where we were six candidates. We all were unknown to each other and in a room we just smiled and said hello to each other. We were given a topic “ what would you do if the criminal came in the hospital for the treatment, would you treat him or not”, given a few minutes to think about it and then asked to discuss it among ourselves for 15-20 minutes. One of the tutor was observing the proceedings and evaluating the members of the group. At first I was bit nervous thinking that what kinds of questions we will be given and had a feeling that what if the topic is which I have never heard. But the topic that we were given was related to my course, so I was confident that I can come up with good answers and participate in the discussion but I was bit nervous somewhere as it was the time where we have to discuss on one topic with unknown participants. During the discussion I was making eye contact and smiling to show that I am interested and understanding on what other participants are saying.
Working in a group of 6 was a good experience, as I have learnt a lot. Firstly, the most obvious thing that I discovered was the advantage of working as part of a group. I learned that good teamwork is the key to success, as everyone had their own point of view, many different ideas could be produced and I found the energy of group participation made me feel more energetic about contributing something. I shared a lot of ideas and opinions with the rest of the group.

Nearly everyone thinks that the treatment should be provided to the patients whether he is a criminal or a normal individual. They also have the same right to have treatment like us, should be treated as an individual and equally. However there were some participant who told that the criminal should not be provided with the treatment, instead of treating them the healthcare team could give the treatment to that people who is kind and nice.
