What is Art?
Art is, first of all, "made". It is not "created" because it does not come out of nothing and it is not "produced" because it is not a commodity. It is something made by man that conveys a certain beauty. Meaning that it appeals to one's senses and that it evokes contemplation from the viewer. The beauty that is conveyed in an art work reveals a certain truth. A truth that reveals the times, emotions, circumstance, etc. of the artist.
