What is a hero? There are so many different answers to this question. Everyone

has their own opinoin. You can't give the title strictly to Spiderman or Batman. Not even

Superman deserves to be soely called a so - called 'hero'. Wouldn't it be nice to live in

a fairytale world where 'heros' like that actually exsisted? I know that I wouldn't mind

being saved by a flying man in a costume. Unfortunately, we don't live in a fairytale

world, and heros like that don't really exsist. So I ask again, what is a hero?

Everyone is bound to have their own opinion as to what a hero is. Some may

believe that the only kind of heros are the kind we read about. The kind that swing through

trees half naked like Tarzan. There's always the ones that jump from building to building

using spiderwebs like Spiderman. Oh, and the one's the dress up in bat suits like Batman!

The best yet, the ones that can actually fly, no strings or vines or helicopters, just like

Superman. I used to believe in those storybook heros, until I found out Santa Clause

wasn't real.

I'm not sure as to when all the other kids stopped believing in Santa Clause, but

if my mother hadn't told me that he didn't exsist, well I'd probably still want to believe in him.

Santa Clause was always my favorite hero. A jolly fellow that comes to your house

to give you presents. New toys and new clothes, I mean back then I thought it was

amazing because four days after my birthday I'd be getting more presents. The only part that

creeped me out a little was how he'd get into our house, being as we didn't have a chimminy.

My dad told me that he left the key under the mat, so I always asked if I could do it. Even when

we got a chimminy, I still put the key under the mat because I didn't want Santa to burn himself

in the fire place. I remember the only thing that bugged me was how my dad would always make

fresh cookies, and I'd only get one, and...
