Stuck in 21st. So, here's what I do to "fix" it. Start calling it "Sports & More 106.7." Put Mike O'Meara's show, just as it is, in morning drive. It's more of a traditional "zoo" show and would better compete with Kane on Hot 99.5, Jack Diamond on Mix 107.3, and Elliot on DC101. Keep the MO'M show just as "broad-based" as it is. Then, crank up the sports talk at 10 AM. Keep Big O and Dukes in middays, and move the Junkies to afternoons, and make both heavily sports-oriented. BO&D know sports, and the Junks started out as the "Sports Junkies." Easy to do. Cultivate a new evening, youth-oriented sports show, and nab all the sports play-by-play you can get. Flesh out the weekends with sports, too. Local and national. JFK already has Maryland and Virginia college sports, it could nab the Nationals next year, and maybe the Wizards and Capitals in future seasons. Then take 1580, make it WJFK-AM, "Sports & More 1580," and put a national sports network feed on it, and use it as 106.7's sports "overflow." Like what CBS has done in Baltimore with 105.7 and 1300.
