A college degree a path to successful life
In today’s job market, employers have increased the use of diplomas and degrees as a way to screen applicants. With the advancement of technology in many areas high degrees are not an option. Once the job position has been covered the salary will reflect the credential of the applicants. According to the census bureau a median income for a person with a master degree is thirty nine thousand dollars more per year than a high school graduate. Because diplomas and degrees dictate the amount of income of a graduate, pursuing a higher degree will set a person on the right track for success.
A higher education is the cornerstone in which a student will build his future, by attaining new knowledge not just from books, but by other sources such as professors, peers. The student will face challenges that will make him a better decision maker; as well the student will be resourceful to accomplish numerous tasks. His creativity will be tested in order for him to prove his qualifications as a great candidate for a job. Those qualities will position him ahead of a person with just a high school diploma. For example “the minimum desired skills for a network project manager for AT&T will need to have the following qualifications: BS Engineering or computer science or advance degree. The following certifications will be necessary: PMI, PMP BICI, PM, RCDD or CISCO”. For a high school graduate will be hard to get this job.
Another reason to accomplish a college degree is to become financially solid and independent. It will be extremely difficult for an average person to achieve economic stability unless they have the appropriate credentials to back him up. A higher education opens the door for better opportunities; these opportunities will lead the way for financial stability and advancement at the workplace and at the community.
