The classroom is where I will spend the majority of my time during distance learning. The classroom consists of my course materials, assignments, class forums and my grades. The course materials are very important. The materials contain a course syllabus, a course calendar, a course description, policies and an overview of the lessons I will learn during each week. Everyone has different learning styles. As a student of Axia College of University of Phoenix, I learned the importance of how important it is to apply my personality to my learning style. Knowing what works for me, as well as others is important, not only in academic learning but in my personal experiences in life. I remember learning about personality and learning styles, it was a very important lesson that has changed my techniques for learning in both my education and in my career. I am a very shy and private person about everything that I do in life. Learning about different personality types and learning styles made me realize that I need to change a few things about myself to grow as a person. I made a promise to myself that I will try different things to improve my interpersonal intelligence. Learning and developing different personality and learning styles will only aid in my success. Communicating, interacting and understanding others are very important to me. After all, these are some of the things that motivate me to become a better student. Today, I am good at managing my time between being a student, a mother and a Marine. My skills will come with me throughout the rest of my life. I began practicing the things I learned throughout my studies on my son. I manage his daily activities with my time management skills. I also teach him by applying the characteristics of multiple intelligence. As a single mother, I work hard to support my son. He is a child, and he deserves to live comfortably.
