Bill Gates and Warren Buffet : The Greedy Bastards of wealth


Throughout my lifetime I’ve seen two men at the top of the list when it came to the richest men in the world. Bill Gates and Warren Buffet were those two men on the top of the list. They are both different and the same in many ways but to the public they have very different reputations and personas. In these personas they can easily be mistaken in a hero role. They seem to lack flaws, have non-human like perseverance and foresight, and they both seem to be doing the right thing to the naked eye. But when more things are considered in the big picture view both of these men fit the role more of an anti-hero or not even that at all. (Like a batman, he can do so much but does little in the big picture)
Bill Gates is more known and has more of a reputation to the public than Buffet. But one reputation they share is that they have become very rich, and at the core of the wealth was the determination to make crazy amounts of money. This determination at the core of their drive was to be super rich. This is a selfish desire and very characteristic of the anti-hero. Although they don’t live the most lavish lifestyles both of these men hold a tremendous amount of wealth. So much wealth in fact that it makes the average American’s life seem very small. It isn’t a big surprise now that Buffet and Gates don’t own a plethora of cars and yachts and personal homes. Those things range from twenty-five cents to two hundred dollars to them. As Buffet is quoted on einvestclub.com, he says this about flaunting of his wealth with lavish things, “ What’s the difference between having one car or five cars, will you have more fun?
