Animal House Business Plan
Animal House Mission Statement
To provide a service to the community to offer a non-threatening caring, temporary home to stray animals until such time that we find it a perfect, loving home with dedicated and responsible families.
Our target customer is a responsible person of any age who is passionate about animals. Any potential customer must own their own home or have a notarized letter from their landlord approving the addition of a pet to the home.
Today's trend consists of professionals having their families later in life or deciding not to have children at all. Pet owners are increasingly treating their pets as they would their children. Pets aren't just part of the family anymore – in some cases they are the family. Animal House provides compassionate people who either are not ready to have children yet or are not planning on having children with an alternative to child-rearing. Adopting a pet from Animal House is an affordable solution to our target customer’s desire for companionship and/or to take care of someone.
Animal House will also benefit the community in several ways. First, animal adoption saves animal lives. When someone is breeding animals, they are creating new animals that need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog or cat for sale from a breeder. Animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a pet from a breeder, we encourage people to adopt their pets from shelters and adoption centers. Not only are adopters saving animal lives, but they could potentially be preventing the spread of diseases that are more likely to be transmitted via feral animals.
