Abstract
For this paper, I will conduct an evaluation of my personal leadership style based on the 7 Habits Profile that I completed. I will discuss individual areas of strength, and areas of weakness, and I will also complete 2 short term SMART goals for myself. These discussions will be centered on my perceived leadership style which is based in the Servant Leadership theory.
Servant Leadership
According to Mazzei, Robert K. Greenleaf was one of the first people to articulate what servant leadership is. Greenleaf believed that servant leaders are most concerned with serving people first. Servant-first leaders are the opposite of leader-first leaders, who are more focused on power and material wealth (2015). I believe that I am a servant leader as I am more concerned with my team’s success than I am for my own individual success. It is important for me to spend time developing each of my employees on an individual basis because I believe by developing their skills and abilities to make them the best they can be makes ours center better. I will now spend the rest of this paper discussing each section through the lens of the Servant Leadership theory.
