* Location / accessibility
* Accredited college / university

* Funding

When deciding upon colleges there are many important factors that need to be considered. One major factor is the location of the establishment. One needs to feel comfortable with their surrounding environment. Is the school accessible by car only or is there other means of transportation? Are the modes of transportation expensive or fiscally friendly for a student budget? Once you’ve decided on the best location for you, now you need to find out if the college you’re interested in offers your desired major. The major should be best suited to fit your academic needs. Even though the college you seek may have your desired major, you should always do your research to know for certain if the college is accredited or not. That simply means the credits your earn will go toward a degree that is nationally recognized. Often time’s tuition becomes the sole deciding factor in a college that a student chooses. Due to finical hardship many student’s number one choice becomes a gamble because it’s too expensive. That is where funding comes into play, funding for colleges usually comes from the government and is offered on a financial need basis, through scholarships, grants and financial aid. Besides all the great academic opportunities a college may offer, some students want to become more involved. They can do this by joining a team that their school has. Finding a college that has the athletic programs you desire can make that college the right place for you. These are all the factors I believe are important when choosing the college that best fits you, your lifestyle and needs.
