Construct and Support an Argument
A person's way of communication is very important in the corporate world and also in their daily lives. Communication being the most personal component in effective business is a very important element for one to understand. For a person to reach that level of awareness one must first determine his or her personality type and view oneself as others see you.
Acknowledging how others perceive you will help you define your communication skills into a more coherent, and confident speaker, as a result making it easier for a person to get their views across to the audience. Understanding your type of communication is vital in everyday conversation; without the knowledge of knowing how someone perceives you, without their input you may not know what you are doing wrong.
Personality tests aims to describe aspect of a person’s character as well as the individual’s character pattern behavior, thoughts, and feelings. They are poor predictors of future performance as people are able to develop new skills, behaviors and to adapt to new circumstances. In this respect, personality assessments capture only a fragment of the whole, and will not be accurate over a period of time. For some highly skilled and technical professions, the individual’s training and experience may have much greater impact on job performance than personality, although an applicant may not appear to be suitable, he or she may be more so than a candidate with apparently 'appropriate' characteristics (Gilbert, 2008).
