Getting Through The Everyday Obstacles To My Future Education
It is such an exciting and powerful feeling to be back in school for the field of study of nursing. I can just see myself now, walking down the hallway in Conway Hospital, wearing my brand new pair of scrubs. Scrubs are the uniforms that nurses have to wear while they are working on the job. I have always wanted to work in the medical field. That day will come, and all of my dreams will come true. Although, getting through all of the obstacles to achieve my nursing degree is the key. Some of the obstacles may possibly be family situations, health problems or even financial circumstances. Let’s explore and see why getting the degree in what you want to be in life is not always the easiest task to achieve.
Ever since I was a little girl, my family has always supported my decisions on what I wanted to be when I grew up as an adult. I am who I am today, because of my family. I have learned that your family comes first before anything else in life. While I am taking night classes at school, I also work a full-time job during the day, five days a week. It is a major struggle to balance out a full-time job, school at night, and take care of a family too. My husband and daughter are very supportive of my decision to be back in school, which makes life a lot easier around the house. Having a strong family unit will get me through the everyday obstacles.
Having the life style and schedule that I maintain everyday, requires me to make sure that I stay healthy. Not getting enough rest or eating poorly could result in a huge obstacle of getting sick and trying to get better to get back on schedule again. When one of my family members gets sick, my roll changes to making sure that they get better. Stress is such an ugly word, but such a real word!
