Heroes in Greek Mythology

Heroes in Greek Mythology

God
Vs
Hero

The almighty, powerful, feared beings in Greek mythology are the
gods! Gods the supreme beings that oversee the world, controlling the heavens, seas, land, and the underworld. The gods stemmed from there into gods of lesser importance. There also were the Heroes of the mortal’s men that were strong, intelligent, cunning, good looking, brave and legends of war best described as mortals molded from gods. Both the gods and heroes were idolized very much in Greek society.
Zeus and Hercules were both very revered in Greek society. They were famous for for different reasons though. Zeus for being king of the gods and strongest of the gods. Hercules was famous for being very strong and his actions in battle and being handsome. Zeus and Hercules were very alike mostly because Hercules was Zeus’s son.
Even though they were related Hercules they had many difference. Zeus was immortal, Hercules wasn’t, just a mere mortal capable of feeling pain and sorrow of the world. The loss of his family and dying from poison just examples of his hardships even though he was the sun of Zeus his life was full of the hardships attained by the world.
As Zeus stayed in his place in the heavens which was full of luxuries. Even though his job required a lot of his days were peaceful and carefree unlike the days on mortals land. He ran from women to women and could be care free because he was the ruler of the gods. Zeus’s life was better and a lot less harsh then Hercules because of all the benefits of gods.
As its blatantly showed gods had the better life compared to heroes. Heroes were the elite of the humans but there is no comparison to the gods of the Greeks to there heroes. Both where legendary in Greek history that will never be forgotten through time
