Student lesson objective: The student will recognize signs of stress and to consider what these might mean Signs of stress worksheet, pencil Computer Procedure: Teacher will discuss what stress is (feeling overwhelmed by circumstances and not knowing how to cope adequately) Teacher will indicate that stress is very common and that when a person is under stress, it is usually more difficult to solve problems and make decisions. Student will fill out work sheet and share response with others if he wants to. Teacher will ask questions: 1)Were you aware of these signs of stress 2)Were you surprised at how you checked the various signs Guided Practice: Teacher will ask student are there other signs you have experienced that could be added to the list Teacher will let the student know that it is important for him to realize that the number of signs and the frequency with which they are experienced determine whether or not someone is under stress.
