Introduction
The Management of Business Administration (MBA) course of Columbia Southern University (CSU) requires some basic skills in order to be a successful student. This class is an introduction to those skills, and to assess our ability to continue in the MBA program. A few of those skills that we will learn are; developing convincing essay writing skills, learn to use time management skills, and to practice active online communication skills. This research paper will go into detail the importance of each skill and give a few examples of their use, and why it is crucial for a student of the MBA program at CSU.
Essay Writing Skills
Learning effective essay writing skills will help me have a deeper understanding of the topic and how I can use it to help me in my future. Many times, the material I study, I may not know if I really understand the subject matter. But when writing an essay about the topic, I have to have a full understanding of the subject studied. Having a better understanding of the topic, I will be able to do a good job in explaining it for my assignments. Proper essay writing skills involve us to have a good understanding of the subject, and we have to have the ability to write about in our own words.
The course requires of us to write many essays. So it is important for me to learn how to write effectively in order to fulfill the requirements of the course. With each writing assignment, my writing will improve and I’ll be able to communicate more effectively with my practiced writing skills. It is required by CSU to write our papers in accordance to the American Psychological Association (APA) style. This is important because the research that we have to do for our papers have to be properly recognized and cited.
