After utilizing last week’s readings this group has a much better understanding and comprehension of the term planning. Planning is a very big key in managers’ job function. It is a systematic activity which determines when, how and who is going to perform a specific job. In this essay, we will discuss how the four factors that influence strategic, tactical, operational, and contingency planning and how they increased our knowledge. This will help you make the correct decision more often and provide a way for you to review what was done and make changes in the future as necessary.
Planning Functions of Management
Organizing is the gathering and forming the assets such as information, people, finances, and other resources required to achieve the required goals. Another main part of organizing is obtaining the precise employees required to carry out specific job functions, work as a team and carrying out the workload in a rhythmic and dynamic order in order to gain the utmost success. Historically the organization function had been to create diagram that displayed and identify all of the functions as well as the association to each other that could be given to a special personnel department that would then create all of the planning and paperwork. That has all been updated to a new organizational method that looks at people as their first and upmost important asset. This new method is increasingly flexible and adaptive to many competition pressures and customer requirements. It is also focused on attaining and retaining the accurate people that will be the key in building a successful company.
