I just finished playing one of the SCARIEST video games I've seen in my life. Now hear me out before saying that I'm probably a wuss that gets scared of everything. I never get scared of video games or movies because I've been desensitized by watching every horror movie that comes out and I've played countless survival horror games (including Amnesia). Everything I've seen or played was like nothing to me, but this game was different. VERY different.
You aren't given any backstory to the game at all (unless you beat the game). As soon as you press play, you're thrown straight into the game. Apparently, you're a psychiatric patient whose wife has been missing for quite some time. His name is never revealed, but you can guess what it is if you pay CLOSE attention to the title screen. Somehow you've escaped from your asylum room, but the horrid state of your mind has transformed the halls of the hospital into nothing but a pitch black maze with the only light being the walls, which glow a deathly blue.
Your character appears to be a cannibal who also has a severe case of PICA and will eat anything in front of him, but you can barely control him. You can force him to turn corners in the hallways, but not much else can be done.
While playing the game, your character is constantly being chased by four exactly identical (except for color variation) creatures whom you cannot hurt, and to even come close to one is instant death, in which the creature latches onto you and rips you inside out, all while you hear the horrible sound of your body being ripped apart.
You can however, ingest some pills hidden in the hallways, after which your character goes into an even more unstable state in which you can literally EAT the creatures whole (save for the eyes), but they will eventually respawn to torment you once more.
There aren't any words to descrive how horrific and terrifying this game is, and I don't want to spoil the surprises for you. Just go ahead and try...
