In the case of the bar, the intentional tort committed here would be battery, and also domestic violence is involved. In the situation, When John grabbed Janes arm, she would have taken offence to it and could have feared for her life or safety, because she was grabbed in an antenatal, harmful way. The elements for this are as followed:
(1) An act by a defendant;
(2) An intent to cause harmful or offensive contact on the part of the defendant; and
(3) Harmful or offensive contact to the plaintiff.

The act of John was grabbing the arm of Jane while minutes before, shouting at her from the next table over. With the next element there was intent to cause harmful or offensive contact to Jane because of the fact that he got up waked over to her and grabbed her wrist. With the next element, there was contact to Jane and that is why battery will fit into the situation.
In the situation beings that they are a married couple, domestic violence would also fit into the situation also. Whit this law it includes as defined:
Domestic Violence is defined as the victimization of an individual or individuals resulting from abuse, attacks, or assault undertaken by their respective partners within the realm of a romantic relationship or courtship. Domestic violence as a general term, is difficult to address, due to the many natures of the act; domestic violence may not only take place within a variety settings, but also through the involvement of a vast array of individuals victimized, as well.

In this case, I believe that john committed this because of the fact that John did grab Jane and could be considered an abuse act or an attack on his half. Also he was shouting at her so that fits into the domestic violence laws also as verbal attack.
