PRE-MARITAL SEX SHOULD BE ABOLISHED

Pre-marital sex is not advisable because of its negative impacts on society at large. Pre-marital sex is that which young individuals indulge themselves in before marriage, protected or not. It is not only logically wrong it is also morally wrong. It has eaten deep into our society today that teenagers indulge in the act. Recently, statistics has shown that among ten teenagers, eight to nine of them are already indulging in pre-marital sex.

Pre-marital sex is widely accepted in the society today as long as it is indulged in a responsible manner. However, from a medical point of view, pre-marital sex can be indulged in by teenagers as long as they are using protection otherwise known as condom, but these same protections have been tested medically not to be hundred percent effective. In fact whether protected or not there is still the same chance of the protected getting pregnant and contacting sexually transmitted diseases as those that are not protected. Therefore, it is not a matter of responsibility as it has been tested medically that responsible sex is not hundred percent responsible, that is to say that there is no guarantee that when one uses protection, the individual can actually be free from pregnancy as regards to the females or sexually transmitted diseases as regards to both parties.

Scientifically, it has been proven that teenagers who partake in pre-marital sex tend to age faster. During the 1993 women’s conference on science and teenage sex in Australia, it was proven that teenagers who indulge in pre-marital sex age faster as all their active cells are used up, therefore living the body with worn out cells and these worn out cells tend to make them age faster.
