In this assignment I plan to reflect on three tools we used during this six week course. The first being the College Success Factor Index, the Discovery Wheel, and last but not least the Learning Style Inventory. During my reflection I intend to explain how these tools have helped me both personally and professionally.
The first tool I will speak about is actually the one tool I feel helped me the most. The CSFI. Until I sat down and did this assignment I would have never in my wildest dreams figure I would score below the watch line in Family Involvement. I knew I stayed busy with my professional life but didn’t realize I neglected spending time with my family until I completed this. So in a way this has helped me in the fact that I now carve out time every week to spend with my family and stay involved with them. I have had to utilize better time management with my work so I am able to make these adjustments. I feel like with the changes I have made I am able to score much higher.
The second tool to discuss is the Discovery Wheel. While my scores here were kind of where I thought they would be. One dimension stood out to me and really surprised me. I always figured on the professional side my Communication was top notch. I lead over 60 associates at work and have never really thought that my communication was lacking.
