The Sri Lankan Tamils fought back against their oppressors, but the Negroes in Mississippi Burning did not fight back. The Tamils in Sri Lanka had started the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) to fight against the injustice the Sinhalese were giving them, but the Negroes did not start anything to fight back against the whites. The LTTE sent suicide bombers to create havoc, but the Negroes didn’t do much until their pastor got everybody to be angry with him and they all didn’t do much more even then. The only thing they did was to hang the Mayor, and that was after the KKK was convicted of the murders. Thus, the Sri Lankan Tamils fought back against their oppressors, but the Negroes in Mississippi Burning did not offer any resistance.
In the Sri Lanka case study, both parties had many deaths. In Mississippi Burning, the Negroes suffered many deaths while the whites had minimal death. The Tamils and the Sinhalese both suffered many deaths, but the Negroes didn’t do anything to stop the whites from massacring them. The LTTE made sure that the Sinhalese did not enjoy their liberties while the Sinhalese government and army made sure that the Tamils wouldn’t get to enjoy their liberties at all. However, in Mississippi Burning, the KKK made sure that no Negro enjoyed being in America, while the Negroes, being intimidated and tortured into not offering any resistance, did not do anything to the whites. The LTTE sent suicide bombers into Sinhalese populated areas to kill the Sinhalese, and the army shot some LTTE people and some innocent Tamils. Therefore, in the Sri Lanka case study, both parties had many deaths and in Mississippi Burning, the Negroes suffered many deaths while the whites had minimal death.
