I have learned a lot for the past nine weeks in Gen 150 and also came up with plan that will hopefully help me throughout my college years. The plan will include six elements that will help guide me along in completing my Associates Degree in Health Care Administration. The six elements are educational resources, academic honesty, setting and achieving goals, time management, fostering reading comprehension and retention, and using personality and learning styles. Throughout my college life I will be using Axia’s education resources to do my homework assignments, such as, papers or projects that my instructors assign to us. One of the main educational resources that I will be using is the Library because there I will have tutorials and quizzes that I can do but also I will be sending my papers through the writepointand plagiarism checker a lot. I will up hold Academic Honesty by following the rules that were set for us by the student handbook. A form of academic dishonesty is plagiarism. Plagiarism is a very serious offense that can lead to being academically expelled from a college and that would not look good on any college transcript. Setting and achieving goals is an asset to finishing your degree. For example, my long- term goal is to get my associates degree in Health Care Administration but in order to achieve this goal I have to set short-term goals that will help me stay focus on my long- term goal. Managing Time Wisely is the most important asset to this Student Survival Guide. If I don't use time wisely it may cause me to fall behind. Also not using my time wisely may cause a lot of confusion and disorder with other things in my life. It is very important to know what is most important or needed in a day, and what is least important or needed in a day.
