Healthy Mind in a Healthy Body
Do you have a favorite sport? I do, it’s swimming. For me, is the perfect sport because it is for anyone, any level, and age. Learning to swim at the beginning, it can be hard, but when you start to practice and know that you are not in any danger it can be fun and very relaxing especially in the summer when the weather is hot. I want to mention that it is not just a recreational activity, it is also a good form of exercise. Swimming is a healthy life long sport for many reasons that continuation I will talk.
Competitive swimming requires an intense level of dedication. You have to force yourself to get out of your bed early in the morning, put your swimsuit and waiting for practice to start. You have to get used in the limited lane space between other stuffs. So, in essence, you have to be hands-down and start to do it. Additionally Some of styles that this sport has consist of four strokes. Freestyle, Breast stroke, Backstroke, and Butterfly. Each person who swims have a favorite or which one you are best. Freestyle is like regular swimming. Head in the water, arms stuck out ahead of you, and kicking your feet. Breast stroke is like swimming like a frog. While bobbing your head in and out of the water. Backstroke is just floating on your back. You also have to kick your legs and move your arms. It’s like freestyle on your back. The butterfly is just what it sounds like, you look like a butterfly. You swing your arms in a butterfly like motion and do a dolphin kick after each arm movement. Actually my favorite style is free swimming because you combine all the styles that I already mentioned in a stroke.
Swimming is a sport life because while you are relaxing you are having fun. For example, while you swim you relax your arms and legs to exercise. If you relax and swim with very little effort and let your mind wander focusing on nothing but the rhythm of your stroke before long a feeling of well-being settles similar...
