Intro
The question, “Are cell phones dangerous?” is a little broad. Instead let us ask the question “Are cell phones dangerous while driving?” More importantly, “Is texting while driving dangerous?” Through extensive research it has been found that they are indeed extremely dangerous while driving. People need to stop texting and driving, it is one of the most dangerous things you can do behind the wheel; a person using their phone while driving has been compared to a person driving under the influence; and there are several organizations, such as At&t, Sprint, and 10n2 Technologies that are against texting and driving and are attempting to put a stop to it. Texting and driving has become an epidemic in our country and it’s not just the teens. Studies have found that not only teen’s text and drive, but adults do it too. Everyone does it, but not everyone will admit it. Only 47% of adults surveyed admitted to texting and driving. Research shows that texting and driving is worse than drinking and driving. The purpose of this paper is that it will attempt to convince you to stop using your phone while driving.
