Time Management and Stress
I knew that keeping track of my time would reveal that I spend my time on things that in the long run are really unimportant to my future and the goals that I would like to attain. I discovered that I spend a lot of time worrying about unnecessary things such as what other people think about me and that I spend a lot of time doing things such as surfing the internet that are not going to positively affect my future and the future of my children.
I would prefer to spend my time with my two year old son because he will be my last child and I would like to avoid making the same mistakes that I made with my older children and I believe spending more time with him and less time at work would go a long way in meeting that goal. I am a survivor of domestic violence so I would like to spend more time volunteering at the local domestic violence shelter because I believe that it is important to give back to help other women in the same type of situation. I would like to spend less time worrying about things that are truly unimportant in the whole scheme of life. I believe that spending more time with family and giving to the community and less time on unimportant things would lead to a more balanced life and I believe it would lead to a more balanced life for my children as well.
I discovered that I spend a lot more time stressing about things that I have no control over and I don't spend enough time taking care of the things that I believe to be important. I am what some people call a “control freak” and I frequently worry about things that may happen in the future or things that happen to other people that may eventually affect me. I would like to be able to just let go of the stressful worrying and free myself to focus on those things that will be more beneficial to my life.
