M1; Compare the purposes of the different documents used in P3.
In this assignment I will be comparing the purposes of the different documents of which I have used in P3.
Job Advert:
When a job vacancy comes up, the recruitment will include a job advert. A job advert is where a company such as orchard accountants will advertise the job vacancy, this can either internally or externally and this will allow for applicants to know what the vacancy is about and how they are able to apply for the job vacancy. A job advert will also have an overview of what the job roles are and what is required for the job. Another point added, some job advertisements depending on where the company advertised it will cost them money.
Job Description:
A job description is what the company states what the job roles will include, the requirements, the salary, hourly rate, job, type etc.. this is done in detail. A job description allows for a possible candidate to know more information about the job and whether they are the right applicant for the job. This is usually based off the personal specification requirements.
Personal Specification:
This is where the company will state what they require the applicant to have and what they feel is desirable for that role. This shows the applicant if it is essential to have or desirable, it also shows the candidate how they will be assessed on the personal specification. The personal specification can include skills, abilities, personal abilities etc.
Application Form:
This is where the applicant will fill out the paperwork for applying for the job which is being advertised. The application form will consist of personal information, references, past employment, education and why the applicant feels they are the right person for the job or why they feel they would be an asset to the company. This is what the company will look through and access to determine if the applicant has made it to the interview stage.
