What is a mother

No words can describe the role played by a mother. A mother is be best gift from God. She is the first person you see when you enter the world, the one who holds you and tells you how much of a gift from god you are. A mother is someone who loves unconditionally and places the need of her children above her own, not with words, but with actions.
A mother is someone to shelter and guide you, to love you whatever you do. She is warm and understanding, with patience and gentleness. The one who raises you, who is there for you to hold and comfort you when you are sick, or hurt. The one who teaches you words like thank you and please. The one who laughs with you, cries with you, who loves you, even when you don’t love yourself.
She knows when to speak and when not. Her words matter, but her silence matters too. She chooses uplifting words and remains silent, listening, when her children need to be heard. She doesn’t speak words of judgement and criticism.
A mother is full of forgiveness for any mistake, big or small and always generous. When you are sad, she can help you thru those dark days. A mother is gentle and she’s your best friend. She always has a word of compassion and makes all your cares fall away. She can brighten a home with the sound of laughter.
She teaches her children nothing is as bad as it looks. She teaches her children not to fear but to have faith in themselves and know that with her support everything will be okay. A mother always gives and keeps giving without ever expecting anything in return. And even though we may not appreciate her we must take a moment to thank her.
