The people of the United States would like to keep crime rates down and all handguns locked up. With them being locked up (in a safe) and out of reach of children, we are doing a good job by keeping our children and other’s safe and out of criminals’ hands. If these weapons were properly placed in a gun safe, and than the children would not have access to them, these senseless shootings would have never happened. The most important reason the people in the United States would like to keep the crime rates down and all handguns in a safe or somewhere out of reach of felons and children is to require all individuals to have a background check, and check medical records to see if they are mentally ill. Keeping guns out of reach of violent felons would eliminate a violent felon to obtaining a firearms license and possess a gun after giving a certificate of good conduct. we hear about murder, drive by shootings and other crimes that relate to this subject but it, seems like no one is willing to step up to put a stop to the crimes. These sorts of crimes are ridicules. Not only do we hear about those crimes but we, also hear about school shootings as What are “gun control” laws? According to the National Rifle Association (NRA), the Constitution Bill of Rights and Firearms Ownership in America (p.8, sec 4) states, “Gun Control” “is the popular name for laws that regulates, hinder or restrict the purchase and possession of firearms. “Gun Control” laws are usually proposed on the grounds they will stop the criminal misuse of firearms but, they are almost never targeted at criminals. Supporters of “Gun Control” most commonly call for laws restrict law –abiding people, that only ones who will obey them.
