By acquiring an MBA degree I would be a more suitable, knowledgeable, and prepared for the challenges and responsibilities of a higher level management position.


Having formal schooling in a science-based curriculum, sitting in my current position, I recognized it will only lead to limited opportunities. I realized that degree that I currently held will not open the doors of opportunities to areas that hold interest to me.
In the past, I worked as a head technician in the animal hospital scene for 10 years. After following my desire to discover a different avenues within the animal health industry, it lead me to become a newbie in the cooperate world. I quickly recognized it was a very different atmosphere with different rules, protocols, and expectations. My area of expertise in animal science field and my experience of establishing and running a house call business in Manhattan, still left me feeling the desire build a better platform to continue development in my career launch into the cooperate business atmosphere.
I had to research to uncover in which direction this desire would lead me. After exploring my options, pursuing my MBA was the only logical choice because it would allow me to develop and gain the necessary skills that will be required of me as I progressed toward a successful career in a management position.

An MBA enhances the ability to look at report, survey data and really pull it apart to understand what is going on inside the business” (Dearlove, Oct 2001). Many employers agree and highlight business applicants having an MBA because it is a valued asset when holding a management position. “The presence of an MBA degree can just about tilt the scales in the selection to C-Level Positions. All in All, the tide has turned in favor of a MBA degree as a passport to good management everywhere”....
