Introduction

F& B Painters was founded in 1952 by the fathers of the now executive board members, Theo Fris and Lex Bergkamp. This was a small-scaled company that worked for housing company’s and individuals alike. Their aim was to deliver quality service no matter what it takes. They built bonds with customers through this ingenuity. Of course this was in a time of disparity, right after the war when everyone was rebuilding.

Now business has grown since then. This once was small-scale company is trying to find strategically ways to deal with today’s modern society. Currently the company does service for five known market areas but these are classified into three categories. The client groups include Civilian work (private orders) of which 10% of turnover is made, Housing Associations of which 35% turnover is made and Large Projects that includes: buildings projects, large buildings for companies and government which concludes the remaining 55%. F&B faces competitors in the market area of large projects and small companies alike.
