On a luminous Thursday morning, I woke up to the smell of bacon sizzling in the frying pan, and the sound of the bacon grease splattering all over. I lazily opened one eye and the blinding sun filled my room. I opened the curtains, and saw the sun scattered tiny diamonds over the dew-covered grass as it peeked out from behind the trees. As I stumbled to the kitchen, the smell of bacon grease got more intense. I sat at my wooden kitchen table and my food awaited before me. When I took a gulp of orange juice, my taste buds were awakened by the tartness of the juice . I hear mumbling coming from the other room, because all I can hear is the crunching from my teeth chomping on the bacon.
Later on, I was driving and jamming to the music playing in the background. As I came up over the hill on a winding country road, I see a car coming from the left, and not thinking that they wouldn’t stop at the stop sign. As I make my way up to the intersection, they keep going. What felt like forever, was only a few short seconds, time whet into slow motion. I opened my eyes to see what had happened. I saw a red blurry object in the air, slowly coming down on my car; I quickly closed my eyes and held my breath. The sound of the car landing on my car could’ve woken the dead. After the dust cleared, the area around me was quiet at once. I looked down to see that I had glass shards imbedded in my legs, my arms, and my face. A woman came and was knocking at my window, making sure I was still alive. As I sat in my crushed vehicle, I began to cry, unsure of what actually happened. Both of my legs were injured with open wounds, and bleeding out. I heard police sirens in the distance. When the police got there, they were trying to remove me from my car, in which I was trapped inside. I can’t really remember what happened the next few minutes, all I know is when the EMT’s got there, I was in immense pain. Susan, the women who had failed to stop, came running up to me...
