Since I was a child, I always had this dream of going to faraway and exotic places to learn about other people and their language, culture, customs and traditions. Along the way, I want to share my own experiences, culture, customs and language with these people to make long lasting friendships.
I think my decision was in part influenced by seeing my older brother’s friends go to other countries to teach English and come back home with wonderful stories about great people and beautiful places they had seen.
Now, at this point in my life, I think the time has come for me to spread my wings and experience the joys and adventures my brother’s friends used to talk about.
But in order to get the most of these experiences for myself and my students, I want to be prepared to teach English to make it an enjoyable and rewarding experience for speakers of other languages.
I believe that by going through the process of getting an Englsih Teaching Certificate I will be acquiring the best teaching tools to offer my future English students. I want the course to prepare me to teach the English language in a fresh and dynamic way.
After getting my English Teaching Certificate, I’m confident that I will know how to present my students with new ways to study English away from the traditional and boring methods of rote learning. I will know how to include everything around me; i.e. movies, songs, books, nature, in new and different ways to stimulate my students interest in the English language.
