What I do in life that determines who I am I do alone. In today’s society, the younger generation has a difficult time with accepting responsibility and being mature. They let what other people think of the, or their words determine who they are and what they do. I believe that if you let what people think of you or what they say about you effects you, then yes it will determine who you are. But if you’re a strong person, focused, and knows what you want in life, then you won’t be affected by other people thoughts or word. The things that I do will shape who I am and how I think. When I let others give their advice or opinion about something, it causes to much confusion within myself. I feel that the advice someone gives you is the advice that helped them or that made them who they are, so it wouldn’t work for me because I’m not them, I’m me. So what we do in life that determines who we are we do alone. As you go through life you hear and see so many things, you see kids that go through elementary and middle school with straight A’s and never gotten in trouble, then they enter high school and drops out of school their freshman year. Now most uneducated people would that it’s because of the people the hang around, but someone with any kind of sense and knows right from wrong would say that they made the final decision to drop out no matter who their friends are, because ultimately the choice is theirs. So what we do in life that determines who we are we do alone. An issue that I can relate to personally is boys that grow with their fathers’ being absent in their lives, which causes us to struggle with confusion of sexuality, feminism, how to be a man, how to treat a woman, and having a positive male influence in our lives. I can almost say for sure that the reason I struggled with sexuality issues is because my father not being in my life and showing how to become a man. But instead being raised...
