Throughout my childhood, many individuals posed that infamous question : “So what are you going to be when you grow up ?” I cringe even as now as I write it. During my childhood, the answer came quickly and with assurance: “A doctor”. I do not know quite when I settled on that profession, but there it was, for all to marvel.
As time pass by, I learned in primary school I started to realized that I love Mathematics more than any subjects. Because I score in Mathematics and I am happy when I do Mathematics exercise. So since that, I started to change my ambition. I think I want to be an accountant instead of a doctor. Moreover, I hate to go to hospital because of the sly environment and I am hemathophobia.
As time flies, during my secondary school, I entered Sekolah Berasrama Penuh Integrasi Rawang, from there I learned a lot of new things. When I was in form 2, I was selected to participate in Olympiad Mathematics. And in form 3, I joined ‘Koperasi Sekolah’ committee. And I became cashier, count money everyday. And sometimes I calculate the loss and profit of Koperasi. I be part of Koperasi committee till I ended form 5. Because I love doing the job so much. And I wish want to continue my studies in course that involving finance, insurance and statistics.
My friend introduced to me about Actuarial Science when we were in the middle form 5. She told me everything about actuarial science and I fell in love with it after listen to her. Actuarial science was about insurance, statistics and finance. So it suits with what I dream. Then I change my mind from become an accountant I want to choose Actuarial Science. Cause in the future we will need to predict more than what we are expecting. Than people nowadays will use a lot of of money sometimes over their expectation. So I need to calculate for them to avoid them from debt. So that is the reasons why I choose Actuarial Science
