2.2 Analyse how children and young people’s development is influence by a range of external factors
Children and young people’s development can be influence by a range of different issue which can have a huge impact their social, emotional, mental, and physical development these can be factors such as family environment and background i.e. children who are living in a large families household that is overcrowded and causing lots of noise to the household this could lead to the child /or children not getting enough sleep so they will always be tired when they are in school, unmotivated and have a lack of concentration. Children may also not get the support they need at home from their parents/careers due to a lack of individual attention, children who are living with parent that may be unemployed may have financial problem this can cause stress on the family they might not have enough money to buy new clothes so they may have to buy clothes from the charity shops this can affect children’s emotional development and make them feel less valued. Children might also not be able to participate in certain activities due to health problems i.e. physical disability such as cerebral palsy children won’t be able to join in with football games therefore children may feel excluded or in cable this will lower their self- esteem and changes in their behaviour. Children personal choice can also have an effect on their own personal development sometime children and young people make wrong choices as we are all human being therefore sometimes the choices that are made has consequences i.e. choosing the wrong food and drinks, to choosing the wrong friend being involved with a group that drinks alcohol, smokes or take drugs can affect the way that children conduct themselves this can also cause them to be absent from school, college or university where there are missing out on their education also eating the wrong food and not having balance diet can lead to...
