The Iraq War, also known as the Second Gulf War or the Occupation of Iraq, is an military campagin which began on March 20, 2003 with the Invasion of Iraq, now led by troops from the united states and United Kingdom.
The main question people ask is how and why we ended up in Iraq AND Afganastan. Unfortunately, "HOW WE ENDED UP IN IRAQ" is no longer an issue that any American should be concerned about. The fact people need to realise, is that we are there and just about EVERY AMERICAN gave the President the Green Light to go and engage with military forces, including Colin Powell. Any discussion after the fact is really just political posturing.
The United States invading iraq has allowed the United States Military to face a large amount of the Radical Islamic Fundamentalists or the Radical Islamic Fundamental Militants. There are millions of people in the middle-east who have named the west (aka:USA) the great satin, and they think that the only way to defeat the great satin is to, “kill it.” But even more frightening is the fact that those people are teaching their children similar thoughts, much like people here in the U.S. have taught their children about christianaty, jewish, and many other religious beliefs. The diffrence is, the united states parents arent teaching their children that violence and hate will help insure their win against the, “great struggle” against sin. When the United States Military is present in the heart of the middle east (IRAQ), the children and the many adults that have not been completely brainwashed are seeing -- first hand-- that Americans are good people with solid morals who are also the most generous people in the world. In this case, the US Service member is not only expected to be a defender of the freedoms of the people of the United States, but, US Service Members are required to defend the freedoms we hold dear in all areas where we operate.
