School Shooting
The United States of America is known to be one of the finest developed nations. Many people have immigrated here to start a new life and accomplish what is known as the American Dream. This includes the desire of having more liberty to express ourselves, the ability to work hard and become successful, and creating a better living environment for furniture generations. This is all great except now that American Dream is being threatened by school shootings. Many people are divided on just what causes a person to pick up a gun and randomly shoot someone. Seems like only an insane person would do that. There are many levels and arguments about guns not being the problem but people who possess the guns having deep mental issues or there not being harsh gun laws. To my surprise A great majority of people seem to blame the film and video game industries and are overlooking the more serious issues. I will argue that movies and video games are not to blame for a school shooting, as well as talking on the subject of deep mental health issues.
  One of the surprises I hear people arguing about is the debate of a film getting connected in a severe way to a school shooting. While it is true that the film industry has produced more movies that are about violence with guns and killings, it is a bit bizarre to think that this would lead to the school shooters carrying out the act in the real world. The reality is most film genres have a notion of using violence in their films and making money out of it. Most of the films we watch fictional violence. There is no real research to see what severe effects movies are having on these shooters, but we are a country of regulation and we do regulate on who can see these kind of films. Most parents should be able to talk to their children about violent films and how they are just a fictional movie and made for entertainment purposes.
