Skill Mastery: Excellent Communication Skills

A skill that most people do not have but could benefit from would be to have excellent communication skills. Having the ability to communicate is key in life without that you have nothing. The meaning of communication is a process of transferring information from one person to another. It is a two-way process in which there is an exchange and progression of thoughts, feeling, and ideas towards a goal or direction. (www.en.wikipedia.org). Communication is used verbal, written and used as an action. Great Communication is going to help you with relationships, jobs, and your everyday communication with people in the world.



Not all people are good communicators and know the right theses to say with speaking to another person. I know I have been around a lot of different people who could benefit from learning better communication skills. You want to make sure when speaking to someone you are using the right body language, hand gestures, facial expressions, and emotions. These could be signs of bad communication. Not being able to get your point across when talking with another person. If your not speaking clearly how can a person understand what your saying. You dint try to talk about a conflict instead of escalating it to an argument . You want to make sure you get feedback from the person you have spoken with. I know if I am going to the hospital and the Dr. ask the nurse to give me a prescription and she gives me the wrong one that’s a sign of poor communication and I would not want to see what could happen from that result. Another example of bad communication would be if your in the middle of a conversation with someone and interrupt them before they have finished what they are saying is very rude and a sign of horrible communication.
